How To Dress On Weekends

Everyone looks gorgeous in evening dresses and heels. But I think the dressing challenge for women is how to dress when there are no social events, and how to wear jeans and a T-shirt. One of the biggest problems my clients have is how to dress for the weekend. It's a little odd that it's harder to dress casually and casually than it is to dress formally and professionally. If you want to shine at a high-end event, buy a nice dress, it's very simple. But how can you wear a pair of jeans to a high-end event? The question goes back to that principle that I have repeated throughout this book. You have to know which colors work best for you, know which cuts work best for your body shape, and pay attention to the overall style.

How To Dress On Weekends

Although I use the term "weekend," I know that today's technology and changing workplace culture have turned the term into a vague concept. Whether we're emailing on our phones, freelancers with perpetually glamorous, casual schedules, or working day and night for jobs that don't pay overtime, the weekend is no longer a time for most of us strictly defined time period. If the same is true for your work schedule, then you should reinterpret the term. "Weekends" are times when you don't have to worry about your image, or when you're more low-key. As you may have guessed, I totally disagree with this statement. No matter how you understand the word, I firmly believe that weekends need to look beautiful too.

It's true that different people have different interpretations of "beautiful", but I think we can all agree that a pair of shiny purple clogs with my husband's windbreaker and a faded long-sleeve T-shirt is definitely not beautiful. Not to mention that the fabric of that faded long-sleeve T-shirt wasn't even stretched. That old pair of jeans from pregnancy wasn't pretty either, it wasn't any better than that pair of elastics. (Yes, I know all of your shameless little secrets.)

On weekends, people also usually look at our clothes and the image we create, a rule that doesn't go to sleep. Before we could speak, our clothes spoke for us. People will still notice us, and make quick judgments, and our moods will still suffer as badly as the workday.

Before you accuse me of taking away the precious time you allow yourself to be sloppy, let me tell you that being comfortable and casual doesn't mean being unglamorous or messy and that comfortable and casual clothes can be just as elegant as other, more capable clothes. Since many people are very confused about the concept of "capable and casual", I have summarized some better ways to dress for the weekend.

Don't be afraid to buy casual clothes for the weekend. Many people feel guilty about buying weekend casual clothes and feel that weekend casual clothes are not worth the money. Unless these clothes can be worn on other occasions, it's not worth the money. Are weekend casual clothes really that hard to fix? My guess is that when you spend your money on high-quality food, entertainment, travel, and another weekend's "luxuries", you don't feel like it's not worth it.

Why are there different standards for things like clothing that come in direct contact with the skin?

Don't save the good stuff for special occasions. Life is not a series of special occasions, it is a day-to-day routine. Don't save good-looking jeans for an evening event, wear sexy jeans and a nice fleece jumper on the weekends, as well as a well-fitting jacket. Clothes that make you feel very confident for special occasions, and wear for other everyday occasions as well. If the clothes are a little formal, you can make them less formal in many ways.

Professional attire is acceptable for brunch. On this point, I disagree with most people. All the clothes you wear to work, you can wear them on weekends or when you play. I want you to make the most of the quality clothes in your closet. This is how you benefit from your investments and make you look very good. Remember, high-key and low-key, femininity and fortitude exist side by side, such as jeans can be paired with a small suit or a loose preppy sweatshirt.

Be friends with statement jewelry and a nice chunky scarf. There's a reason scarves are high on my clothing list. Jeans and a white t-shirt, the world's most boring outfits, can be attractive when paired with a brightening scarf, and casual clothes can have the same effect as statement jewelry to prevent casual wear. Sex clothes look sloppy. Don't neglect your accessories for the weekend either, and you need to work on them.

Buy some casual coats and shoes. Well-fitting denim jackets and trench coats can be worn at work as well as a play, and that's the difference between a sophisticated weekender and a husband's Budweiser windbreaker. If you cover up that sexy pair of jeans with a bunch of rags, no one will notice the jeans! The same applies to shoes. You need lots of nice flat shoes that can be worn on any occasion, like ballet flats, loafers, driving shoes, flat boots, wedges, nice sneakers (yes, all sneakers look good), etc.
